Oh SFA, these are wonderful! I remember in December 2010, and I found the old Ask.com, now defunct but it had just transformed itself from a search engine into a Q/A site...and all the kids on there, they were posting in acronyms!

So I studied, and studied, even located an online list to translate them -- and now we old folks have our own lexicon of them...huzzah!

(I recall at that time I assumed LOL meant Little Old Lady...)
