The D-factor is a number, determined by a test that measures how mean and inconsiderate you are.

And the test can be taken at

http://qst.darkfactor.org

I scored 1.94 on the 16-question short test. That puts me in the (low) 23rd percentile for meanness. I guess that means 77% of people are meaner than I am. (I bet Virginia gets 1%... she is a saint.  :-)

Ditto!

The Dark Factor of Personality (D) specifies the basic principle underlying all dark traits. D is the tendency to maximize one's individual utility — disregarding, accepting, or malevolently provoking disutility for others —, accompanied by beliefs that serve as justifications. Put simply, individuals high in D will ruthlessly pursue their own interests, even when it negatively affects others (or even for the sake of it), while having beliefs that justify these behaviors.

No I got 18%...however, I thought some of the wording of their questions was not up to snuff! That answering them really honestly could give an inaccurate picture, if you went deeply enough.

Oh well, very often I don't trust most research anyway.

I don't trust most research either, at least not in the soft sciences like sociology, psychology, pol sci, etc.

Well, I knew you would score nicer than me. :)
