I enjoyed every minute of that, Sir Furry...I love the names -- Godstow Crossing, Horspath Halt, Frideswide Square, Garsington Bridge...oh so very British!
One of my friends on Mt. Baker in Washington State was Fern Postlethwaite, her ancestry obvious, and who could forget the heroine in the magnificent 1955 British comedy LADYKILLERS, Mrs. Wilberforce! Yes those British do have a way with names...

I never knew there had been so many stations around Oxford. And I have been there many times.
From Hospeth Halt to Morris Cowley,
Littlemore to Iffley Halt,
Railway stations vanished foully,
Crushed by time's assault.
Little more of Littlemore
Remains today, like Iffley Halt.
And Abington we can't explore,
For it is in default.
And Hinksey Halt, Grand Oxford's Pont,
And Oxford Rewley Road are gone.
Alas, nobody's nonchalent
That these have been withdrawn.
Port Meadow Halt and Wolvercote
Have gone the way of Oxford Road,
And Wolvercot lumped up my throat,
My tears at Yarnton flowed.
Excellent...
Aw Tink THAT is wonderful
@ Sir Furry, @ Virginia
Thank you.
