I had my first day out since February 29th.
Met a friend who lives on Barry Island, ate fish and chips al fresco looking over the sea,had a coffee at a cafe, spent some time in my friends flat where he got my iPad to do things it never did before, then back out for a wander(videos on later),and an al fresco burger.
Plus good conversation.
Going to do it again...
And the trains so empty I wonder how the companies are making any money...

I want to ride on the Ferris wheel  :)

And what is that thing in the middle of the grass at 1:55 of the second clip? It looks like a bale of hay with two black triangles on top. :wassat:

The fun fair is still closed due to Covid. And is a pale shadow of what it was like in my childhood.i used to love the Ghost Train and would not go home until I’d been on it.That’s gone.

That thing is a a large stone and I think it may be a trig point-but need to look at my Ordnance Survey map of the area.

If it isn’t I have no idea what it is doing there.

Aww... I would have loved the Ghost Train too.

Yes, I think you're right about the trig point. I never saw one in the US; I think they are much less conspicuous there.
