It's interesting, Tink! Around 1980, I studied for a time with a very religious woman, a Christian mystic, who had a strong interest in Zoroastrianism. Thus still recalling some of the basics -- the epic struggle between good and evil, Ahura Mazda -- but did not know all this.

Formed ~1500 B.C., that means Zoroastrianism is appx. 1000 years before even Buddhism!

Dualism (i.e., two eternally pre-existing principles, one good, one evil) with humankind having the choice of which to ally itself with has a lot going for it, most recently popularized in Star Wars.
