Monday -- Moon's day

Tuesday -- Tiu's day. Tiu (Twia) is the English/Germanic God of War. He is identified with the Norse God Tyr.

Wednesday -- Wodin's (Odin) day. (Norse God and father of Thor) (Marvel Character)

Thursday = Thor's Day (Norse god) (Marvel Avengers Super Hero) 

 

Friday = Freya's day (Norse goddess) (Marvel Character) 

Saturday = Saturn's day. Saturn is the Roman and Italic god of agriculture and the consort of Ops.

Yes Dan I did know that, and can even tell you when I learned it...because in 1953 I was eight years old, and was given my very own magazine subscription, THE CHILDREN'S DIGEST!

I still remember such important information as how to take a bath (be sure to dry every inch you call your own, to prevent chapping!)...as well as stories from Norse mythology. So I still think that Loki should have gotten one of the days, along with Wodin, Thor, and Freya because Loki is the Norse trickster, the jokester!

Years ago, my brother was in a "Thor's Day" club ..... they basically just drank a lot of beer on Thursdays.
