William de Braose was not very nice... but he later fell out of favor with King John and became a fugitive, first to Ireland, later allying himself with Llywelyn, and still later fleeing to France, where he died.

Silly man... he should have allied himself with Robin Hood and waited for Richard the Lionheart to return. :D
