Hi SFA,
The Stainmore Summit -- they are talking about being in (gasp) England! Are you by chance showing us place NOT in Wales at all? Or was this some terrible confusion, surely it is a kind of blasphemy to refer to Wales as part of England?
Anyway with your posts, I am appreciating the sense of history; the castles from Wm. Conqueror times 1066 or so, mixed right in with old railway lines, not far from the smallest house in UK which was last occupied by a six-foot stevedore, Druid reminiscent stone circles and spooky mare skulls running around at 3 AM on Samhain for the last 2000 years, modern transportation running over forgotten mass graves from the bubonic plague outbreak of 1666 AD, and I am quite sure McDonald's Hamburgers has not forgotten you somewhere? Do you have a Walmart yet?
