I have heard of it, but I have heard of many more disappointments than successes.

In the clip above, at 3:10, he complains of the many fake friends he had on Facebook.

In real-life dating, you learn the truth about a person much sooner.

Internet scammers can also be discovered fast. It is true that internet users lie much but they lie outside of internet also. Many people meet someone, then after years of marriage a husband rape his daughter.

A girl I am dating now said that her ex boyfriend cheated her for two years and she knew him from high school.

Yes, people in real life can also deceive, but I think it is far more common online.

Never tried it...

Never much bothered with it. Had a couple of LDRs that went to hell and I've never bothered since.

Something about meeting a woman face to face has always appealed to me.

Personally I have never seen it happen, Kninjanin, although there are stories of occasional relationships that began online. I cherish my online friendships, people not likely to meet in person...but would never go further than that.

Never got involved in that crap ever. Too many phonies and who knows what you might find up here.
