If it's only two or three kilometres I'd rather walk Much further than that I'll take the car. The problem at my age is not so much how I get there but if I can remember where I meant to go when i set out.
Depending on the place, the distance and the available time and/or means, as there are different ways to get from point A to point B.
For work and at work, most of us here use the car, the train, the bus, a bicycle, scooter, motor bike, etc. and, as much as possible, their own two feet, depending on the circumstances.
But if travelling and sight-seeing, excursions with unusual "transport means", like cable cars, boats, horseback riding, etc. can be a wonderful experience.
By car, I sometimes walk if it's not far but mostly car as we don't have much traffic as its a beach town and gets a bit busy in the summer...
I ride the bus a lot.

I like riding my bicycle from place to place. Also, it's a great way to burn up the calories.
