I met a girl on penpals.phk.at and read that she was single. I mentioned many times relationship with her but she did not like it. Today, she writes that she is in relationship. Until few days ago, she was a member of penpals and still single on penpals. She deleted her account.

Hitman is right as I've had a couple of online relationships over the years and both were a bust. No, I just want to meet ladies in real life.

Bad thing about those sites is what Tink said and most women are married and just want to be flirted with. Why? Couldn't really tell you but I know I distance myself from any that are too friendly. Sad but safer!

They thought that you were a rich man.

Did you met them on Ask or Blurtit?

Actually? I met them both on Ask.

It is weird that they are on websites for questions and answers. They use social networks. I also relize that many online girls want that men work for them and that they work nothing. Especially, many poor girls want to move to Europe and America to become millionaires marrying. They are uneducated. No one becomes rich doing nothing.

I've never figured out half the people on the Net. I doubt whether you will either. I know the old man has bumped into a couple of these same type situations and he wants nothing to do with any women online except as friends.

As far as trying to understand women? Good luck with that!

This woman is angry when someone mentions relationship. Maybe she has some problems which she does not tell.

Other girls from that website are normal when I speak about relationship.

Internet deception is very common. You can't even be sure the penpal is really a girl, if you only have written contact.

I saw only two photos with her face and had a short call with her. It seemed like female voice. I have connection with other girls but they do not bother if l mention love.

She could be a heterosexual man.

Kninjanin, I have heard the term 'catfish'...for someone who pretends to be what they are not?

I myself truly cherish the friends I have met online, I think these are real friendships...but online only, somehow it seldom works to let them become more.

Have you seen the site MEETUP in Serbia, or is that only in the USA? People with common interests gather for classes or discussion, or meals. It seems that might be a good way to meet people in person...

However I myself have not gone to any of their events, and don't even know how they are going about it in these pandemic times...

I do not know for that website. I heard for catfishing. Even some real girls tried to scam me but they failed. I found one good girl who do not mind me if I mention love or sex. She is interested in me. I think that those girls search for rich men. They do not need love.
