I am still so surprised and delighted at how similar the landscapes you find across the world...Marianne (I don't recall if you did know her?), she loved botany and we would match notes on the very similar plant life across Europe, including Switzerland where she lived, and North America!
Your photos remind me of the Skookumchuck River, which I have loved in SW Washington State where I live...this photo is from the Capitol Land Trust, which I just learned has been able to conserve 74 acres!
