Autumn in New England is legendary. Where I live in Maine, the trees are at peak, and it's wonderful. This is my favorite time of year, and one where I am the most reflective and nostalgic. I think about my life and what I could have done better....people who have come and gone in my life who were instrumental or inspiring....even those on public forums who I've met and friended and wished I were still in touch with....Soda Head/Amirite anyone?
Always brings me back to the Beatles and "In My Life"..
All that aside, I love Autumn purely for it's instrinsic value. It's a season of reflection for me....and being able to either go out and sit by the river in the woods or, driving 20 minutes to sit on a bench by the sea are natural bonuses where, I can be lost in the thoughts in the best and worst moments in my life...what I could have done better, and how blessed I really am. I know I ramble too much.
