I forgot about the German occupation of the Channel islands but looks like some have some vivid memories!
I just watched the first part, SFA...still finding bullets and shrapnel in the banks of the Thames...so poignant.
Guersney and Jersey are in Dukedom of Normandy and in union with the UK just like Man?
I did not know that Germany occupied them.
The only part of Britain they did.
How terribly sad... sending off your children to the mainland, not knowing when, or whether ever, you will see them again.
