(Depends on the animal. I've seen really friendly cats and dogs that wanted nothing to do with people.)
Dogs are more fun, but cats are easier to deal with and I find them much cuter (and less gross).
I like cats a lot more and for me they are both cuter and friendlier. I´m a little afraid of dogs.
I agree, however, there can be some exceptions to the rule.
There's nothing better than dogs. Cats are just big furry rodents to me, useless stench makers.
Cats will ignore you , if you do not have an affinity with them but my Princess is almost on my Keyboard purring away and Starz is on my Hip lolz I'm paying you lot too much attention in their Eyes

I would not own a cat, personally.
My experience has been that cats are cuter AND friendlier.
Some cats are cuter and some dogs are cuter...but they are all cute....
