Thu Sep 3rd, 2020. Welsh Rarebit Day. Celebrate with us! Famous all over Europe, Welsh Rarebit is a distant cousin to cheese on toast, made with a cheese and ale sauce, and Welsh Rarebit Day celebrates this famous dish.

Our school cafeteria in middle school used to serve something they called Welsh rarebit. I think it was American cheese melted over toast. :ermm:

Nope I love grilled cheese but would never go through all that to make some -- hafta spend all morning washing all those dishes! Whole wheat English muffin with whatever cheese you have on hand.

Oh and I do agree with him about the soft butter. I have never kept butter in the refrigerator!
